UK imposes sanctions on Manturov, Pamfilova
MOSCOW, Nov 30 (PRIME) -- The U.K. has imposed sanctions on Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov and Central Election Commission Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova, the British government said in a statement on its website on Wednesday.
Manturov “is responsible for arming the mobilized military,” while Pamfilova actively supported partial military mobilization in Russia, the authority said.
A number of Russia’s regional governors, as well as several heads of the Federal Penitentiary Service’s regional branches were added to the blacklist.
The U.K. sanctions against Russia have so far affected more than 1,200 individuals and 120 legal entities.
